DESTROY STEVE JOBS!!
Posted on Saturday 3Jun06, at 7:51 pm. This is a filler from being bored and unable to make comics. My boredom led me to Sketch Swap, where I recieved (not drew! This is not mine!!!111!!!1) this odd and amusing picture back. It was worth a filler. Why can't I make proper comics? Read on below. I got my new computer yesterday, and I suppose it was ahead of schedule considering it had been delayed to the fifth, and was thrilled! Then again, when has anything ever been that easy? Being a Mac grants it no exception to my luck with computers. I open the box, mess with it for a few hours, and wouldn't you know it, it crashes. The MAC crashed on me. Am I the only one who has seen those cool Apple commercials and finds that absurd? Anyway, I reinstall Mac OS X three different ways and spend a cumulative hour on the phone with technical support before they tell me to ship it back to be replaced. NO NEW COMPUTER FOR AN ESTIMATED TWO WEEKS COMPUTER!
Posted on Monday 12Jun06, at 3:46 pm. It did come, and APPEARS to be working. Shipping me a functioning computer may have just saved Steve Jobs' life. But maybe not. Once I fish my money out of the toilet, set up boot camp, and install photoshop, expect comics to resume. I might be starting another comic soon, so Abandon All might take another break while I work out a schedule. Abandon what now?
Posted on Sunday 2Jul06, at 1:11 pm. Still no comics, by the look of it. Computer still working, but there are other problems. My tablet doesn't work on Mac OS X, but no big deal, I was going to use Windows for Photoshop anyway, right? That would have been the case, but for some reason, booting to Windows causes odd noise to appear on the screen. Drawing anything in Photoshop is painful because of the noise affecting the colors. Photoshop runs really slowly in OS X also. The situation basically boils down to me buying a new tablet, somehow fixing or reinstalling Windows, or waiting for CS3, and shelling out for that. None are very good options, because two involve lots of money, and I don't know how to fix Windows, and am not sure reinstalling will fix it. And of the other comic I was going to start, all that exists for it is a couple of promo wallpapers, and I have no idea when comics are going to start coming.
