Abandon All

Let us pray...

This idea hit me as something both funny and an easy way to get back to drawing comics. Once again, the other webcomic I was working on went under. I have a bad history with webcomics.

I was not so happy with the wording of this comic, but I had tried a million things, and nothing really worked, so I settled for this. I really liked the idea of product placement in unusual things. Poorly done product placement ruins anything. It prevents just about anything from becoming a classic anything. I can recall the movie War of the Worlds, where Dakota Fanning starts talking about she can watch all her shows "after homework" with Tivo.

If product placement could make classic works, C-3PO would have been an Aibo, and Lightsabers would run on Energizers. And naturally, this would be the Bible.

It's been a while, but every now and then I like to post something, even when I don't have a comic. I haven't drawn a comic for ages, mostly just because I haven't felt like it. I've been doing other things, and still have comics to draw, but probably won't draw them for a while. I expect to come up with a mass of comics and draw them over the summer, which is fast approaching. In the mean time, I've been retracing my roots doodling at odd times and writing standup comedy instead of comics. This isn't to say that if I come up with a really good idea for a comic, I won't draw it, but I haven't really allocated any time to drawing them. Check back in another month or so.

Every time I sit down to make a comic, I lose track of myself and forget. Perhaps it's best if I stop trying to promise myself I'll work on something, and just work on it when motivated? Sounds good. See you there.
